After a long, full time career in the NHS, I eased myself into retirement 9 years ago. I was going to put my feet up and take it easy. Didn’t quite turn out like that and I seem to be busier than ever and am always keen to take on new challenges.
A chance encounter with someone I knew from my working days led me to take up watercolour painting. The day I went to my first class I had nothing, not a brush, paint or paper. I was provided with these things, the paper was the size of a postcard. I now have so much material I’m running out of space.
8 years later I’m still learning and experimenting with the medium.
Oh and the art class had a tea and homemade cake break, what was not to like?
I have so many paintings now that I’ve no wall space left to hang them so I’ve decided to sell them.
20% of any profit will be donated to Falkirk charities that support food insecurity and homelessness.
I hope you like my work, I’ll keep painting whatever!
